Faulk (6-6, 315) is rated the 26th best offensive tackle in the land and is a 4-star prospect according to Scout.com.

The Slidell (La.) Northshore product had an offer from Michigan, Nebraska, Arkansas, Ole Miss and several others but he always knew where he wanted to play his college ball.

“I was so excited when I told coach Miles that I kind of started to tear up but I didn’t want coach Miles to see,” Faulk said with a laugh. “It was very emotional and this is probably the best day of my life right now.”

Faulk admitted to always being an LSU fan but there was some doubt on whether he would get the chance to suit up for the Tigers because of his academic situation.

“I came a long way and football has always been my passion,” he said. “I now have the chance to go play for a school that I love and that I always dreamed about. It doesn’t get any better than this when you get to see a dream come true.”

Faulk’s academic situation has improved dramatically over the past few months and if he continues to stay on his current path then he will be right where he needs to be in terms of qualifying.

With school winding down, Faulk can now enjoy the moment because, after all, this is one of the happiest days of his life.

“I can’t even explain how I feel,” he said. “I am just so pumped and glad that I am a Tiger.”

"I come off the ball pretty hard. I try to do that on every down. I'm pretty aggressive for my size, and I move pretty good. As of now, I'm 6-6, 315 (pounds). My forty is 5.1 (seconds) timed with the laser, and my pro agility is 4.9 with the laser also. My vertical is a 29."

Faulk was a fan of LSU growing up, and he has attended camps and games in Baton Rouge.

"I've also been to their junior day and spring game. It was nice. I had a great time. Yes, they're my big leader."

Though he has played on the line on both sides of the ball since he was a freshman, every college is recruiting him for offensive tackle.

"My dad is originally from Baton Rouge and I've always liked LSU," Faulk said. "It's the state school and everyone loves them. They are a great team and won the national championship. I just love how they keep winning."

LSU is about one hour and fifteen minutes from Faulk's house and he attended both their spring game and junior day. "It's a great atmosphere there and I always have a good time when I'm there," he said. "I love the campus and the school is amazing."

The Tigers were Faulk's first offer in February. "I really like their recruiting coordinator (Josh Henson)," he said. "He's a great person and we've talked a few times and we have a good relationship. He's smart and seems to know how to have a good time too."
